Learn how to design, deploy, and automate Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
In this course, you will build the practical skills needed to manage Azure resources with Infrastructure as Code. Instead of creating cloud resources manually, you will learn how to use Terraform to build reliable, repeatable, and version-controlled infrastructure on Azure.
This course follows a hands-on, learning-by-doing approach. You will work through real labs, write Terraform configurations, connect Terraform to Azure, manage state, use reusable modules, and build production-style automation workflows.
You will start with the fundamentals of Infrastructure as Code, Terraform Cloud, Azure setup, and the core Azure concepts Terraform works with. From there, you will learn HashiCorp Configuration Language, providers like azurerm and azapi, variables, outputs, dependencies, expressions, conditionals, count, for_each, locals, dynamic blocks, and built-in functions.
You will also learn one of the most important parts of Terraform: state. The course covers how Terraform state works, how to store state remotely using Azure Storage, how to use workspaces, and how to work with the Terraform CLI in everyday workflows.
As you move forward, you will explore production-ready Terraform concepts such as lifecycle meta-arguments, data sources, provisioners, debugging, and reusable modules. Finally, you will learn how to integrate Terraform with Azure DevOps and build CI/CD pipelines with plan, approval, and apply stages.
By the end of this course, you will be able to confidently create, manage, and automate Azure infrastructure using Terraform - from your local machine all the way to a production pipeline.
